Prayer to St. Joseph for Employment

You showed us the dignity of
work. Now I turn to you,
patron of workers and guardian
of the Word Incarnate, as I seek
employment.
I need your intercession to find
work that will provide for my
needs and the needs of those
depending on me.
I wish to find a job that will
help me grow as a person and
use the talents that God has
given me.
You were a man of strength
and courage, faithful to your
duties and trusting in God’s
providence. Help me to be
strong and courageous, too,
faithful in my job search and
trusting that God knows my
needs and will guide me to a
good job.
Dear Saint Joseph, I pray to
follow your example, to be
proactive and resourceful in
my efforts to secure
employment. I seek not only
work but also the opportunity
to serve others just as you served
the Holy Family.
Please guide me toward fruitful
opportunities, keep me steadfast
in my times of trial, and help
me to persevere until I find
gainful employment.
